MURMUR / terms of service
TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective 1 October 2026. These terms govern use of the MURMUR storefront, enquiries, paid services, digital items, the SYSTEM 001 Founder’s Reservation and any later product orders accepted through the store. Product- or service-specific terms shown on the relevant listing form part of the offer.
Current store status
SYSTEM 001 remains in prototype development. The store currently includes the A$250 SYSTEM 001 Founder’s Reservation, the A$149 MURMUR Wearable Systems Architecture Review, free BUILD ACCESS, and may also list digital or commissioned creative products under MURMUR or MAZLABZ. These are different offers with different deliverables.
The Founder’s Reservation is not a finished-product order or promise of a dispatch date. The Architecture Review is a service, not product certification, professional engineering certification, legal advice, regulatory approval or physical testing. Digital products and commissioned work are governed by the description and licence/scope shown on their listing.
Order acceptance
A listing or invitation to enquire is not itself acceptance of an order. A paid transaction is accepted when the store or payment provider confirms it and MURMUR has not rejected or cancelled it for an evident pricing, availability, fraud or technical error. If payment has been taken for an offer that cannot be provided, the applicable refund or other remedy will be provided.
SYSTEM 001 Founder’s Reservation
The A$250 reservation is an early-access allocation product, not a finished COWL, MOLT CORE or Founder Edition order. The full A$250 is intended to be credited toward an eligible Founder Edition purchase. You may request a full refund at any time before you explicitly accept the final Founder Edition specification, final price and finished-product order terms. If an eligible production offer is not opened to you, the reservation will be refunded in full.
Final specification, sizing, inclusions, production price, supported destinations and delivery timing remain under validation and will be disclosed before a finished-product offer is accepted.
Wearable Systems Architecture Review
The Architecture Review covers one submitted wearable-system concept and delivers one written architecture/prototype-planning review, normally 2–4 pages. The stated five-business-day period begins after MURMUR confirms that sufficient project material has been received. Missing essential information pauses the review period.
The service does not include production CAD, graded patterns, manufacturing, sourcing commitments, physical testing, professional engineering certification, legal or regulatory advice, electrical/RF certification, safety approval or product certification. Qualified professional or laboratory sign-off remains the customer’s responsibility where required.
You retain ownership of project material you submit. You confirm that you have authority to provide it and grant MURMUR a limited permission to copy, store and use it only as reasonably necessary to perform and administer the service. MURMUR retains its pre-existing methods, templates, know-how, trade marks and other background material. You may use the delivered review for your own project and share it with advisers or contractors working on that project.
MURMUR will treat non-public project material supplied for the review as confidential business material and will not intentionally publish it or use it for an unrelated public portfolio or case study without permission. Technical files may be processed by service providers used for email, storage, security, payments and storefront operations. Do not submit passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, export-controlled material or material you are not authorised to disclose.
If a submitted concept may contain a patentable invention or registrable design, you are responsible for obtaining your own advice about disclosure and filing strategy before sharing it.
Digital products and commissioned work
A digital product supplies the files or access described on its listing and does not include a physical item unless expressly stated. Any personal-use or other licence shown on the listing governs permitted use. Copyright and other IP are not transferred merely because a digital copy is purchased.
For commissioned work based on customer-supplied material, you confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for MURMUR/MAZLABZ to use that material to perform the commission. The listing controls the deliverable, included revisions and licence. Unless expressly agreed, a commission does not transfer unrelated background IP, production source files or trade marks.
Product information and development claims
Concept or generated imagery communicates design direction and is not production photography or proof of technical capability. Prototype, RF, textile, sensor, safety or performance statements are claims only to the extent supported by the identified configuration and recorded evidence. Development material does not itself represent a shipping specification.
Prices and payment
The store’s base currency is Australian dollars. The checkout, payment page or written order confirmation states the amount payable before payment is authorised. Do not send payment-card details through email or enquiry forms.
Cancellations, delivery and returns
Read Returns & cancellations and, for SYSTEM 001, Ordering & delivery. Product-specific cancellation, delivery or licence terms shown before purchase also apply.
Using the website and MURMUR IP
Do not interfere with the storefront, payment services or another customer’s information. MURMUR/MAZLABZ trade marks, original designs, images, written material and other website content may not be reproduced for commercial use without permission from the relevant rights holder except where permitted by law.
Personal information
Submitting an enquiry does not by itself subscribe you to marketing. BUILD ACCESS and other marketing signups are separate and include an unsubscribe mechanism. See the Privacy Policy for information about personal information and platform/service-provider processing.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, remedy or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where a service or product fails an applicable guarantee, the remedy required by law applies.
Contact and governing law
Use the MURMUR contact page for order, service or rights enquiries. These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Victoria, Australia, subject to any mandatory law that applies to you.
